The KOSANJI is sold as a case. Internals are entirely subjective and purchased separately — these are our tested recommendations, not requirements.
Everything on this page is optional. The case ships with its brass USB port insert, Keysnaps or standoffs and silicone rubber feet — PCB, plate, foam, switches, stabilisers and keycaps are sourced separately.
Choose a standard 65% PCB compatible with the case layout. KOSANJI has been designed and test-fitted around popular options including DZ65 and YMDK ZJ68 / YMD-65%.
Pair your PCB with a matching 65% plate. Brass, aluminium, FR4, polycarbonate, or carbon fibre can all be used depending on your preferred sound and typing feel.
Optional case and plate foam can be used to tune the sound and feel of the build. Final results will depend on your PCB, plate, switches, and overall configuration.
Use PCB-mount screw-in stabilisers for a standard 65% layout: 2.25u left shift, 2u backspace, and 6.25u spacebar. For the quietest result, I recommend lubing the stabilisers properly and tuning them before installation. A light band-aid or stabiliser pad mod can also help reduce contact noise against the dense stone case.
Muted, earthy keycaps pair especially well with natural stone — warm greys, clay, sand, cream, and soft beige tones all work beautifully. Cherry, MDA, or similar sculpted profiles are a good fit. We recommend choosing a 65%-compatible kit with the correct modifier sizes, including 2.25u left shift, 2u backspace, and 6.25u spacebar.
